Together with the Office of Queer Affairs we organised a Grand Tour program in Venice, Italy. The Grand Tour is an annual appointment among international musea and institutions, where they share their practices. This time the exchange took place between Van Abbemuseum and Palazzo Grassi.
On the first day we talked with professionals working in the field of education in museums. With presentations (a personal journey) and a love writing exercise we showed them what working as a constituent means to us as collective. On the second day the program was open to (queer) public.
This day existed of a workshop Braiding Conversations by Michelle Jonker and a workshop Writing love letters, inspired by the Love Letters Tour. We closed the day with a workshop Queering the Toilets. This workshop is inspired by Dissident Pedagogies by Claire O’Brian and the Queerlet project of Noam Youngrak Son. With a little touch a drag of course!
