Maybe Boozegeoisie applied for a position as a library employee at Huis73 in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. It would be their dream job to work in a library in drag. It’s part of their mission as drag royalty: to challenge the status quo, dare people think beyond their own references and make ‘s-Hertogenbosch (the city where Maybe lives) a place where more people feel welcome and at home. The organisation invited Maybe for a job interview.
During the interview they talked about the opportunities and difficulties which come along hiring Maybe: providing a safe environment and caretaking, but also fun and excitement are an important factor. Despite the open-minded conversation with the staff from Huis73, Maybe didn’t get the job. At that moment they didn’t have enough time to pay attention to hire a drag artist.
