When are you a 'professional' artist? During the end of our study at AKV St. Joost 's-Hertogenbosch we asked ourselves an existential question: who the fuck decides we can graduate?

The discussion about safety is growing. We should prevent ourselves against EVERYTHING. So what should be the position of a festival in that? A year before the corona pandemic, in the summer of 2019, we challenged Totaalfestival Bladel to make this the safest festival of the area.

When we collected shopping lists, we regulary found little notes with adresses on the street.
How does a day sound?
Nico Parlevliet invited 24 artists to record one hour of sound during their daily work and life during spring 2020. He based this idea on his research about soundhouses and the relationship between sound and time. This resulted in 24 audio fragments which represent a day of an artists' life.

How do you report on an underground music festival? We got invited by Vooruit in Ghent (BE) to work together with art students from KASK to report Uncanny Valley.
